A antropologia de Rousseau no Anúncio do Prof. I. Kant de 1765-1766

Kant began devising his anthropological thinking during his course on Physical Geography, particularly inspired by the methodological redefinition brought about by Rousseau’s Second Discourse. Nevertheless, the impact of Rousseaunian anthropology over Kant’s anthropological thinking has never been confirmed (nor even fully mapped) by Kantsforschung. This article proposes an interpretation that sheds light on such influence as perceived in Kant’s Announcement for the Winter Semester 1765-1766 and proceeds to address a critical blind spot found in the analyses proposed by B. Erdmann (1882), J. Schmucker (1961), and H. Wilson (2006, 2018) on the relevance of Physical Geography to the structuring of Kantian anthropology.
