A ÉTICA DE LEONARDO BOFF: Saber cuidado

The planet is going through a major crisis triggered by the relationship between man and nature. This crisis compromises the quality of life for human and non-human beings of this generation and the next. It is necessary to modify the relationship of humanity with its surroundings, allowing an interaction with the environment based on a look of care and affection, not only of intervention and use for its own benefit. Leonardo Boff's Ethics of Care was presented as a theoretical framework for this change in the relationship with nature. The aim of this study was to describe Martin Heidegger's concepts; present Boff's ethics based on reading his works; demonstrate the applicability of the Ethics of Care and; to show the convergences with the principle of compassion of (bio) ethics of all beings.
