Filosofia seiscentista: a descoberta da subjetividade?

It is undeniable that the seventeenth century philosophy asserts the autonomy of reason. By releasing it from the Revelation and from the immediate sensibility, it affirms that thought needs and must find in itself the path of truth, that is to say, create a method of investigating the truth that assures the continuous and correct course of thinking. However, following Merleau-Ponty's perspective, in which subjectivity is only discovered when the reflective consciousness becomes the canonical form of Being, we cannot speak of philosophy of subjectivity to determine the core of the seventeenth century philosophy. The discovery of the concept of subjectivity is an accomplishment of German idealism, of Kant.
