RESUMO: O objetivo principal do presente trabalho consiste em explicitar o sentido e o alcance da noção de poder na obra de Michel Foucault, examinando a oposição entre relações de poder, entendidas como estratégias de liberdade, e estados de dominação, nos quais os espaços de ação são reduzidos aos seus limites mínimos.
