This article is organized based on questions that seek to circumscribe the problem of philosophical authorship in Brazil. My intention is to point out that this theme is sharpened after the movement “Primavera das Filósofas”, driven by the discussions raised by several women researchers during the XVII National Meeting of Anpof (Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia), held in Aracaju, from 17 to 21 October 2016. At the event, Carolina Araújo asked a crucial question to the philosophical community: how many women philosophers are there? Today, amidst the persistent effervescence of feminist debates in the area, questions concerning Brazilian philosophy allow me to bring to light the relevance of Gilda de Mello e Souza’s original thought.
