This article is concerned with three themes that, in the historical record of Greek philosophy, passed to posterity related to each other: justice, democracy and rhetoric. Given that justice, among the Greeks, was not disconnected from the dictates of the law, the article raises the following question: if justice (as an action that stems from the fulfillment of laws without ballasts with the interests of sensible human reason) is really a civic virtue? The second theme concerns democracy analyzed as a strategy and concept, and also as a government or regime of laws capable of promoting true justice. The third, consortium with the previous ones, asks about the main virtue of Rhetoric and its value in the activity of knowledge or science that is characterized by reasonableness and wisdom. The three themes are analyzed within a philosophical perspective in which the point of view of the Epicurean ethos prevails.
