Knowledge management and organizational performance: Analysis in the chilean educational context

This paper examines the relationship between knowledge management dimensions (creation, sharing and application) within the organizational performance of primary and secondary education institutions. For this purpose, under a quantitative and exploratory approach, surveys were applied to teachers and administrators of these institutions located in the south of Chile with knowledge and/or experience in educational management, using the partial least squares structural equations model for the analysis. The results indicate that the creation, sharing, and application of knowledge positively and significantly impact the organizational performance of primary and secondary educational institutions. This can contribute to defining and implementing policies and mechanisms that promote knowledge management within these institutions, where they must constantly implement actions to improve their results due to ongoing changes in their settings.
