This The text deals with the theme of memory for the philosopher Augustine of Hippo and how it becomes central in his discussion about time and knowledge. In the treatise De Trinitate, Augustine comes to the conclusion that the human being, as a divine mirror, is also formed from a trinity. Memory, intelligence and will correlated form the mens, superior structure of the human soul. From this observation, time and knowledge are exposed as coming from this capacity, which allows us to “store” what has already passed and to make future projections.
