We present Nietzsche's critiques of the modern ideology of "progress", understood as the improvement of the human condition in its material and moral perspective, and how this concept manifested itself in the philosophical interpretation of history. For Nietzsche, the idea of progress is a fabulation, because it does not necessarily represent the development of life and the improvement of the creative forces of the human being.
