O HERÓI E O FORASTEIRO: NARRAÇÃO E METAFÍSICA NAS CONFISSÕES

This paper examines the choice of autobiographical narration in the general plot of the Confessions. To this end, we first indicate the role it will play in its development, along which other forms of language will be presented and discussed, and then we highlight the transformation process which the narrative itself undergoes as a specific form of philosophical language from the end of the general prologue (I vi 7) until the beginning of what we characterize as the metaphysical part of the work, the books X-XIII.
