O modelo de democracia contestatória de Philip Pettit

In recent decades, republicanism has once again occupied a relevant role in contemporary political debate. In the process of revival of republican thought, observed mainly in the political thought of Philip Pettit, one of the most innovative aspects is the proposal of a form of government capable of implementing the ideal of liberty as non-domination, entitled contestatory democracy. The objective of this article is to present and discuss the model of contestatory democracy proposed by Pettit.
