Os transportadores de objetos espantosos: a indumentária ritualística no livro VII d’A República

Resumo: Amparados pelo livro VII d’A República, e considerada a função dos artefatos na famigerada narrativa da caverna, temos por escopo delinear o estatuto da imagem na filosofia platônica. Cogitando o caráter inaugural do imagético no processo de conhecimento, aspiramos uma interface entre as técnicas de projeção de sombras e de manipulação de utensílios postuladas por Platão em 514a–515d 10, consoante às implicações epistemológicas derivadas da engenharia ilusionista noticiada pelo filósofo ateniense. The carriers of amazing objects: the ritualistic dress in book VII of the Republic Abstract: Supported by the book VII of the Republic, and considering the role of artifacts in the notorious narrative of the cave, we aim to outline the status of the image in Platonic philosophy. Considering the inaugural character of the imagetic in the knowledge process, we aspire to an interface between the techniques of shadow projection and manipulation of utensils postulated by Plato in 514a-515d 10, according to the epistemological implications derived from the illusionist engineering reported by the Athenian philosopher.
