Para além do corpo-objeto e da representação intelectual: como Merleau-Ponty redescobre o corpo como veículo da existência

This essay analyses the objections made by Merleau-Ponty to what he calls “cartesien paradigm of thinking”, the separation between soul and body. Concentrating in the two first chapters of Phénomenologie de la perception’s first part, it’s an intent to identificate, in the critics directed to the mechanicist physiology and to the subjective psychology, how the philosopher gives a new philosophical statute for the sensitive body, putting it as the main existence’s vehicle, in the same time that he rediscovers the pre-objective experience.
