Our aim in this article is to present the conflict between the ways of thinking about nature and society in Rousseu and Diderot. Explaining the major points of divergence and convergence in the works of both philosophers, we try to show that despite the personal rupture between those authors, there is a constant dialogue in their texts that helps us to understand the way they think about nature and society.
