A trajetória de uma filósofa: Maria das Graças de Souza

The academic career of Prof. Dr. Maria das Graças de Souza is presented here under two formulations that intertwine: a discussion of her theoretical texts and the presentation of her activities during her academic career. The first part, entitled: “The intellectual journey: the articulation between History, Politics and political action”, written by Jacira de Freitas, discusses the essential ideas of the philosopher’s theoretical production, and defends the hypothesis that it reflects a thought that articulates History, Politics and political action, evidencing the concern in reconciling politics and political action, or even, theory and practice, something that reappears in her work as a teacher, but is expressed above all in the scope of her studies. The second part of the text, entitled “The trajectory of a teacher”, written by Patrícia Aranovich, focuses on her activities as a professor in the Department of Philosophy at USP, and on her interactions with the Study Groups and Research Groups across the country, as well as with their mentees, students, friends, and colleagues.
