Considerações sobre a doxa no Livro III da República

The aim of this paper is to think the presence of doxa in the guardian’s education, described in Republic II-III, in order to highlight its crucial role as a forming instance at this point of the dialogue. In order to do that, I intend to show how two notions which seem to be inherent to doxa – I mean both lanthanein and pseudos – are described as playing an active role in this formation.
