This essay aims to raise the relations between Spinoza and Goethe in the context of the concept of infinity in its implications in modern culture. While for the philosopher it is the keystone of the construction of the “real definition of God”, for the poet it is one of the doors of invitation to experience, life, power and recovery of youth. This essay equally aims to expose the agreements and disagreements between a philosophy that sets the devil among imaginary beings and a poetry that puts the demonic being in the center of modern mythology.
