LEIBNIZ LEITOR DE ANSELMO: UM CASO EXEMPLAR DE DESLIZE FILOSÓFICO

This article attempts to present the modifications made by Leibniz, in the texts Nouveaux essais sur l’entendement humain and Meditationes de Cognitione, Veritate et Ideis, on the classic argument for theexistence of God. It is argued that there is already in Leibniz an “ontologizing” reading of Anselm, whose reason may be the Cartesian appropriation of the argument. The background of this discussion is the way philosophers, when reading others, insofar as they have their own philosophical agendas, commit, intentionally or unintentionally, what is called, in this article, “philosophical slip”.
