Merleau-Ponty, de “A guerra aconteceu” à “Nota sobre Maquiavel”

In this presentation, I intend to comment on two essays written by Merleau-Ponty shortly after the end of World War II, “The war happened” and “Note on Maquiavel”, whose main interest for me is the insistence on the urgency of the foundation of a new philosophy that could assume the massive presence of the historical and political world, the weight of the relationship between the outside and the inside and the relationship between necessity and contingency.
