There is no way to understand the State without a real understanding of the “State-form”, linked to the totality of the movement of capital, as a ‘political moment of capital’. It must be acknowledged that Marx is indebted to the Hegelian dialectic in the construction of his critique of political economy, especially when referring to his famous work The Capital. This article seeks to develop the category ‘moment’ in the logic of Being of Hegel’s “Science of Logic”, in order to contribute to the reflection on the “State-form” in Marx, as a “political moment” of the totality of the movement of capital. The article is structured in two parts. The first part presents general outlines of Hegel’s dialectic and of his important work Science of Logic. The second part develops the category “moment” in the logic of Being, starting from the triad being-nothing-becoming. It is understood that without the complex relationship between Marx
