The Ideal of the Kingdom of Ends ‒ presented by Kant with a view to introducing a formula of the Categorical Imperative ‒ is often interpreted as the social element which his moral theory would lack. Humans would be moral agents conceived as lawmakers members of a possible social order. Against this interpretation I'll argue that the social dimension introduced by the technical conception of this Ideal is properly rational, presenting a genuinely cosmopolitan regulatory requirement, that gives nevertheless to the theorythe resources for a proper moral treatment to the effective sociability from moral agency, then after all, the conditions of our agency are effective social.
