PAUL RICOEUR E A EFETIVAÇÃO DA LIBERDADE: CONTRIBUIÇÕES PARA A EDUCAÇÃO

The paper aims at discussing the role of education in the effectuation of freedom in present times, based on a conceptual ground provided by the Philosophy of Paul Ricoeur. First, it discusses the idea of anthropocentric decentralization and the difficulty to establish an adequate relationship between Man and Nature. After, it concentrates on the relation necessity-liberty and on the ethical dimensions of freedom, in a dialogue with Ricoeur. Finally, it concludes that from the standpoint of Paul Ricoeur’s Philosophy it is possible to raise important questions for the comprehension of education in present times.
