This paper examines the role that the notion of politicalobligation has in the thought of the Italian philosopher of politics and lawAlessandro Passerin d’Entrèves (1902 – 1985), especially in its relationshipwith the democratic regime and forms of resistance on the part of citizens. Byanalyzing the author’s main arguments in this regard, it seeks to demonstratethe flexibility of the author’s concept of State, and the importance of philosophyas a point of intersection between morality and law, constituting itself as aninstrument of phenomenological approach to the forms of human association.
