The grandiose project of exposing and paraphrasing the entire Corpus Aristotelicum in order to "make it intelligible to the Latins" is an indication of the originality and importance of Albert the Great, a thirteenth-century German Dominican, also known as Doctor Universalis. Strongly defending the idea of the autonomy of philosophical research in any field can be applied, was the first to use widely Aristotle, especially his Ethics. The purpose of this article is to outline the main features of the bishop of Regensburg's moral doctrine and to present an analysis of the De Prudentia treatise, including the challenges posed by this virtue in the age of globalization.
