It is notorious that there is an abyss between understanding what the moral law establishes as a duty and its full realization. As we know, the human will is not a holy will and, therefore, it needs to be strengthened in order to be able to autonomously fulfill what is established as good according to the categorical imperative. Although this is a theme of Kantianism that has not yet been explored so much, it is integrated into the Critical System and it is as important to its economy as it is the foundation of pure a priori moral principles. It is not enough to know what we should do, we need to know how we become and remain capable of doing what we should do. If for Kant, duty implies power, duty imposes the need to seek to specify the path towards power. It is precisely in this interim that following an autocratic dietetics that seeks to help man to reach the destiny concerning his distinctive trait becomes indispensable. The aim of this article is to analytically discuss the main themes and concepts of Kantian dietary thought, highlighting its immediate connection with his practical philosophy.
