Sobre a masculinidade vulnerável em homens sobreviventes – análise de uma obra literária

This article discusses the problem of masculinities through the lens of vulnerability. To this end, a fragment from Garth Greenwell’s novel What Belongs to You (2019) is analyzed. The aim is not to prescribe anything about vulnerable masculinities, but to analyse this “structure of feeling” through the analysis of a specific literary fact, mobilizing a repertoire drawn mainly from different sociological perspectives and Freudian psychoanalysis. The aim is to think about a common way of life for men permeated by vulnerability, which in this article will be synonymous with clandestinity and the search for survival.
