Sobre a novidade de Maquiavel: notas sobre a interpretação lefortiana do proêmio dos Discorsi

Machiavelli’s first undertaking in his Discorsi is to grasp the utility of old and modern things. This path, which is part of his method, provides for the recurrence of ancient historians and, at the same time, the experience of modern things. The difficulties of this strategy are already perceptible in the beginning of this work. It is a question of investigating the complexity of this method and trying to identify its limits from the perspective of Claude Lefort in Le travail de l’œuvre: Machiavel.
