Based on the study of Spinoza’s Principles of Cartesian Philosophy and Ethics, we will seek to explain the problem of anti-Cartesianism in three specific critical movements of a methodical, metaphysical and ethical nature: first, the conversion of the method used in Descartes’ Principles; second, the critique of “substantial dualism”; and, finally, the critique of the Cartesian theory of free will.
