Utopias feministas: imagens e linguagem contra a normatização da vida

The aim of this article is to analyze three different utopian works written by women; to consider their political programs in opposition to canonical male utopias in view of interpreting them as feminist on account of their openness to female citizenship. By relying on political imagination as an essential element of utopias and by opposing it to the normalization of life, Pizan, Cavendish and Gilman break the vicious dystopic cycle of normative male utopias.
